Senior Backend Developer

We're looking for a talented senior infrastructure developer to join our Algo Services group, and be a part of our journey, taking the company to the next phase, moving from feature or tools to a Decision Making Platform that will change the way businesses are playing on Amazon. Our Algo Services group is responsible for the infrastructure and orchestration of our real time algorithmic platform and engine.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing advanced data and algorithmic processes, with latest technologies as a SaaS system and solution.

• Designing and developing a server side software, including documentation and coding. Coordinate server-side development with UI development

• Technically train and mentor team members in the group.

• Communicating with business partners, gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Mastering third-party systems and interfaces, including: data available by the parties, API to be used for obtaining the data and limitations related to these interfaces

Requirements:

• A B.Sc. in Computer Science or computer engineering

• 3-5 + years of experience in Java/Scala server-side development, including cloud services (preferably AWS), building distributed systems.

• A strong background in computer science fundamentals – data structures, object-oriented and multi threading.

• Strong analytical skills

• A deep knowledge and experience with data pipeline and data processing technologies like Spark and Kafka.

• An excellent knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL (experience in Big Data platforms is an advantage)

• The ability to fully understand and master complex system architectures, flows and processes both technically and from the product perspective.

• Experience in commercial software development, including all stages of the software development life cycle. Experience in Agile methodologies is an advantage

• Excellent English communication skills – spoken and written
